Lois Louise (Hainley) Smith

Mrs. Lois Louise (Hainley) Smith, age 95, of Kirksey, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022, at her home.

Mrs. Smith was born in Springville, Tennessee on March 5, 1927, to the late Wright Douglas Hainley and Bessie Volene (Haneline) Hainley. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Olive Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy Smith, who died on May 7, 2007; one daughter, Rita Smith; four sisters; and three brothers.

Mrs. Smith is survived by one daughter, Sonja Howard and husband Roger of Benton, Kentucky; four sons, Danny Smith and wife Kathy of Benton, Kentucky, Jack Smith and wife Karen of Kirksey, Kentucky, Mark Smith of Benton, Kentucky, and Jody M. Smith of Kirksey, Kentucky; one brother, Tom Mack Hainley and wife Madona of Springville, Tennessee; as well as several grandchildren and great – grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on March 12, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Bro. Brett Miles will officiate, and burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
