Lonnie G. Brittain

Mr. Lonnie G. Brittain Sr., age 72, of Murray, Kentucky, died on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Day Star Nursing Home in Cairo, Illinois.

Mr. Brittain was born February 7, 1944 in Calloway County, Kentucky. He was a former employee with the Murray Division of Tappan, and retired from Briggs and Stratton. He was also of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Brittain was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Brittain, father, William "Billy" Brittain; mother, Mary Boggess Brittain; step mother, Flora Mae Brittain; sister, Wilma Starks; and three brothers, Harold, Virgil, and Billy Joe Brittain.

Survivors include one daughter, Anna Miller and husband Donnie of Murray; one son, Lonnie Brittain Jr. and wife Erica of Robards, Kentucky; brother, John Brittain and wife Nancy of Murray; four grandchildren, Zach Miller and wife Lauren of Murray, Haley Brittain of Henderson, Kentucky, Zach Owen of Morganfield, Kentucky, and Samantha Beck and husband Jordan of Henderson, Kentucky; one great grandchild, Lillie Ann Marie of Henderson, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Rev. Robert McKinney will officiate, and burial will follow in the Barnett Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2016 from 5-8 p.m., at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
