Lorene McCage

Mrs. Lorene McCage, age 95, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at 2:50 p.m. at her home.
She was a retired school teacher, teaching at Kirksey, New Concord and East Elementary Schools. She was a member of New Providence Church of Christ.
She was born in Calloway County Kentucky March 20, 1915 to the late Fonnie H and Sallie Herndon Spiceland; in addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband Robert C. McCage on September 18, 1973, and one sister Annie Mae Hopkins.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald D. McCage and wife Deanna of Hoschton Georgia, Robert C. McCage Jr and wife Anna of Murray Kentucky, one sister, Hera Jane Lindsey of Salem Kentucky, for brothers, F.H. Spiceland Jr of Murray Kentucky, Sam Spiceland and wife Opha of Murray Kentucky, Cecil Spiceland of Reidland Kentucky, Bobby Spiceland and wife Rosemary of Murray Kentucky, four grandchildren, Sharla McCage of Murray Kentucky , Amy Neal and husband Rob of Lexington Kentucky, Kevin McCage and wife Mindy of Athens Georgia, Keith McCage of Lawrenceville Georgia, four great grandchildren, Ally Neal, Robby Neal, Connor McCage, and Ireland McCage. Also survived by her care givers, Eva Hale, Martha Underhill, and Brandy Williams.
Services will be held Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 10:00 am in the chapel of the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. John Dale and Stephen Hunter will officiate and burial will follow in the Hicks Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, November 26, 2010 from 4:00 – 8:00 at the funeral home.
