Lorene Underhill

Mrs. Lorene Underhill, age 101, of Murray, Kentucky, died Monday, June 8, 2015 at Murray Calloway County Hospital

Mrs. Underhill was born August 7, 1913 in Trigg County, Kentucky, to the late Felix Grundy Turner and Elizabeth Gardner Turner. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Elm Grove Baptist Church. She was also in the Golden Circle Sunday school class.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Taylor Underhill, son, Glen Dale Underhill, step children, Nola Scarborough, Cortus Underhill, Louise Scurlock, two grandchildren, Adam Duncan and Ricky Underhill, also five brothers, and two sisters.

She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Bryant and husband Dan of Murray, Kentucky; Cathy Duncan and Husband Kenneth Dale of Murray, Kentucky; one son, Ron Underhill and wife Diana of Aurora, Kentucky; one sister, Christine Minor of New York; as well as several grandchildren and step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren and step great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 12, 2015 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Bro. Brad Burns and Bro. John Sheppard officiating. Burial will follow at the Union Ridge Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
