Mr. Louie "Red" Westerman, age 91, of Murray, Kentucky, died Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Baptist Health Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.
Mr. Westerman was born in Stewart County, Tennessee on December 3, 1925 to the late Louie Thomas Westerman and Onie (Barrow) Westerman.
Mr. Westerman before retiring was the co-owner and operator of Westerman Brother's Body Shop. He was a member of the Murray Masonic Lodge, #105 F & A.M., the American Legion, the Coles Campground United Methodist Church and he was an Army veteran of WWII.
In addition to his parents Mr. Westerman was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret (Westerman) Lovett; and by two brothers, Eural "Wink" Westerman and Eugene "Gene" Westerman.
Mr. Westerman is survived by his wife, Bernice (Pruitt) Westerman of Murray, Kentucky, to whom he married on August 29, 1946; and by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Howe officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
