Mr. Loyd Lee Green, 61 of Dexter, Ky., died Saturday, January 22, 2011 at his home.
He was a retired electrical worker having worked for Dyna Electrical Co. for 5 years. Mr. Green was born Dec. 29, 1949 in Marshall Co., Ky.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn Dowdy Green of Dexter, Ky., they married Aug. 2, 1969 in Calloway Co., Ky., mother, Robbie Butler of Almo, Ky., step mother, Mary Clemens of Murray, Ky., two daughters, Melissa Dowdy (Jimmy) of Murray, Ky., Laura Painter (Larry) of Bowling Green ,Ky., sisters, Cheryl Manning (Joe) of Benton, Ky., Linda Coxs (Tim) of Hardin, Ky., brothers, Ronnie Green (Doris) of Kirksey, Ky., Craig Green of Murray, Ky., Don Lewis (Deborah) of Fulton, Ky., Gordon Lewis (Theresa) of Murray, Ky., Dewayne Howard (Faye) of Noxapater, Ms., James Howard of Noxapater, Ms. Three grandchildren, Amber Tolliver of Bowling Green, Ky., J.D. and Timothy Dowdy both of Murray, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Loyd Green, step fathers, Pete Howard and Sonny Clemens, brother, Ricky Green.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Rev. Kendrick Lewis will officiate, and burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, January 24, 2011 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
