Mabel C. Redden

Mabel C. Redden, age 98 of Joplin, Mo., formerly of Murray, Ky. passed away at 5:45 a.m. Wednesday October 12, 2011 at Spring River Christian Village in Joplin.
She was born in Birmingham, Ky. November 19, 1912, the daughter of the late M.R. and Vera Cox. She married Thomas W. Redden on December 23, 1933 in Murray, Ky. Mrs. Redden had been a teacher for many years in the Murray area. After retiring she and her husband moved to Joplin.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Shelby Redden of Joplin, one sister, Mary Louise Outland of Lexington, Ky., her granddaughters, Anita Tichacek and Karen Martin, and great-grandsons, Patrick Tichacek, Austin and Lincoln Martin, and her niece, Nancy. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband and her son, Pat Thomas Redden.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday October 15, 2011 in the Murray City Cemetery in Murray, Ky. Rev. Boyd Smith will officiate. The family will receive friends at the J.H. Funeral Home prior to the services starting at 9:30 a.m.
