Mrs. Maggie Marie Housden age 91, of Hamilton, Ohio, formerly of Murray, Kentucky, died Wednesday, October 1, 2014, in Hamilton, Ohio.
Mrs. Housden was born October 30, 1922 in Calloway County, Kentucky, to the late Joe T. and Maggie Miller Phillips. She was a retired receptionist, homemaker, and member of the Memorial Baptist Church in Murray, Kentucky. She was also a member of the Esther Sunday School Class, was a Sunday school teacher, and served in various other church committees.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lomax Lee Housden; daughter, Barbara Schaney; two sisters, Ethel Geurin and Mary Rogers; four brothers, Elbert, Fred, Brent and J.T. Phillips; and grandson, Kyle Housden.
She is survived by one son, Jerry Housden and wife Sheri of Franklin, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Ginger Brock and husband Daniel, Wendy Breehne and husband Clyde, Melissa Walsh and husband Craig, Tracie Bryant and Christopher Housden; seven great grandchildren, Vanessa Guiterrez, Bryan Breehne, Jessica Breehne, Haley Walsh, Sydney Walsh, Hannah Bryant and Nathan Housden; two great great grandchildren, Alex and Julian Guiterrez; as well as her very special nieces and nephews and her dear friend Joan Maupin.
Graveside services will be held 12:30 p.m. Saturday, October 11, 2014 at the Murray Memorial Gardens, Dr. Jim Simmons will officiate, and burial will follow. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 11: 00 a.m. till 12:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
