Margaret Sue Brittain

Mrs. Margaret Sue Brittain, age 92, of Murray, Kentucky, died on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray, Kentucky.

Mrs. Brittain was born in Calloway County Kentucky on August 28, 1929, to the late Edgar Clarence Williams and Mary Lois (Mills) Williams. Mrs. Brittain retired from the Calloway County School System and was a member of the Flint Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brittain was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years Mr. Raymon B. Brittain, who died on December 6, 2020; as well three sisters Helen Robinson, Opal May Williams, and Anna Louise Wellerritter; and by two brothers O.C. Williams and James "Jimmy" Williams.

Mrs. Brittain is survived by two daughters, Beverly Joan Powell and husband Tom of Clarksville, Tennessee and Barbara Brittain of Murray, Kentucky; one son, Donald R. Brittain and wife Rene' of Murray, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Luke Powell, Serena M. Brittain and husband Chad Pritchett, and Elise N. Brittain and fiancé Ben Zinninger; as well as two great-grandchildren, Elim Leonard Pritchett and Evan Leigh Pritchett.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 20, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Bro. Elijah Balentine will officiate, and burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Monday, September 20, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
