Margaret A. Cloys

Mrs. Margaret Ann Cloys, age 84, of Murray, Kentucky, died Monday, November 30, 2020, at the Mayfield Health & Rehab.

Mrs. Cloys was born on December 2, 1935, in Murray, Kentucky to the late, Lawrence Dick and Virgie Hill Dick. She retired from Murray State University where she was the office manager of the history department. Mrs. Cloys graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelor of History and spent a great deal of her time researching her family's genealogy. Mrs. Cloys was a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ in Murray, Kentucky.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian B. Cloys; her daughter, Donna Elaine Cloys; four sisters, Bertha Dick, Betty Beard, Edna Jones, and Mary Magidsohn; as well as three brothers, Elvis Lee Dick, Henry Dick, and Raymond Dick.

Survivors include her son, Anthony B. Cloys of Jacksonville, Florida; two sisters, June Bass of Alabama and Katie West of Murray, Kentucky; two brothers, Virgil Dick and wife Susie of Murray, Kentucky and Donnie Dick and wife Kris of Murray, Kentucky; as well as four grandchildren, Lindsay Renee Cloys of Jacksonville, Florida, Aiden B. Cloys of Jacksonville, Florida, Ashton B. Cloys of Jacksonville, Florida, and Austin B. Cloys of Jacksonville, Florida.

Due to pandemic restrictions private family services will be held. John Dale will officiate, and burial will follow in the Coldwater Church of Christ Cemetery.
