Margaret Elaine Colson

Mrs. Margaret Elaine Colson age 87, of Murray, Kentucky, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at the Spring Creek Health Care in Murray.

Mrs. Colson was born in Mansfield, Tennessee on March 18, 1925 to the late Kennie Carter and Clara Foust Carter. Mrs. Colson retired from Fisher - Price and was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Murray.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Colson was preceded in death by her husband, Starkie Clyde Colson, Jr., who died on January 30, 2000; and by three brothers, Earl Carter, Eulan Carter and K.M. Carter.

Mrs. Colson is survived by two sons, Ronald Colson and wife Peggy and Kennie R. Colson and wife Carolyn H. all of Murray; two grandchildren, Kerry Colson and Megan Colson both of Murray; one step grandchild, Chad Willoughby of Murray; two great grandchildren and one step great grandchild; several nieces and nephews; as well as a sister in law, Diane Bucy of Murray.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Bro. Martin Severns officiating. Burial to follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service hour (1:00 p.m.) on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the funeral home.
