Mrs. Margaret Buckingham Polly, 84, of Murray, Ky., died Sunday, June 27, 2010, at 12:10 p.m. at her home.
Born March 15, 1926 in Springville, Tn., She was a former Co-Owner of Bucks body shop, member of the Eastern Star, certified bookkeeper for G.M. and Ford Motor Co, and worked for several dealerships. She also worked at Houston-McDevitt clinic for 17 years as Secretary and bookkeeper over insurance. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Dub Polly of Murray, Ky., they married May 9, 1945 in Murray, Ky., daughter, Sheila Grogan (Jerry) of Louisville, Ky., brother, Buddy Buckingham (Betty) of Murray, Ky., three grandchildren, Eric Grogan (Maria) of Louisville, Ky., Heather Bates (Trent) of Louisville, Ky., Adam Grogan (Kelle) of Henderson, Ky., also 10 great grandchildren, Joshua, Sophie, Wes, Jeremiah, and Owen Grogan all of Louisville, Ky., Piper, Theo, and Polly Bates of Louisville, Ky., and Meryl and Maggie Grogan of Henderson, Ky. also two nephews David Buckingham (Dianne) and Mark Buckingham (Renee) all of Murray, Ky., and a aunt Minnie Bess Williams of Paris, Tn.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Louise Cowan Buckingham.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, John Dale and Seth Grogan will officiate and burial will be in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 29, 2010 from 5-9 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
