Margaret "Mug" Waldrop

Mrs. Margaret Mae "Mug" Waldrop, 94 of Murray, Kentucky died Tuesday, August 6, 2013 in Murray.
Mrs. Waldrop was born in Calloway County Kentucky on June 4, 1919 to the late Eldridge Hamilton Swift and Etna (Butterworth) Swift. Mrs. Waldrop served as the receptionist for Ezells Beauty School in Murray for 37 years and was a member of the University Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Waldrop was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Waldrop who died in 1991.
Mrs. Waldrop is survived by two daughters, Jan Rayburn and husband Bill of Murray and Judy Overbey and husband Bob of Calvert City, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Leesa Overbey Webster of Chesapeake, Virginia, Robyn Key Overbey of Princeton, Kentucky, Jennifer Justice of Westerville, Ohio and Allen Rayburn of Franklin, Tennessee; as well as eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday August 11, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with John Dale and Richard Youngblood officiating. A eulogy will be provided by Joe Pat Hackett. Burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at the funeral home.
