Margie Birdsong

Mrs. Margie Birdsong, age 80, of Almo, Kentucky died on Friday, December 21, 2018 at the Murray-Calloway Co. Hospital.

Mrs. Birdsong was born in the Golden Pond Community on October 20, 1938 to the late Cecil Knight and Irene (Scott) Knight. In addition to her parents Mrs. Birdsong was preceded in death by her husband William Bill Birdsong; one son, Michael Steven Birdsong; one grandson, Jerry Birdsong; and by one brother, John Lee Knight.

Mrs. Birdsong is survived by two sons, Tim Birdsong and significant other Lynn Milby and Chris Birdsong all of Almo, Kentucky; three sisters, Kathy Faria of Jacksonville, Florida, Rita Knight Fortner of Almo, Kentucky, and Shannon Norsworthy of Murray, Kentucky; two brothers, Jimmy Knight of Murray, Kentucky and Joe Knight of Princeton, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Corey Birdsong, Kristin Birdsong Thompson and husband Josh, Michael Birdsong and wife Valerie, and Lauren Birdsong all of Almo, Kentucky; as well as nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Bro. Glenn Cope officiating. Burial will follow in the Dixon Cemetery in L.B.L. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
