Marie Compton

Mrs. Marie Miller Compton, age 93, of Murray, Kentucky, died Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at the Henry County Healthcare Center in Paris, Tennessee.
She was a former employee of the Murray Calloway County Hospital Housekeeping department; and worked in housekeeping for Kenlake State Park. She was also a member of the Ledbetter Baptist Church.
She was born in Centralia, Illinois on January, 4, 1921 to the late Edwards Byers and Artie Jane McBride Bryant. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by three husbands, William Thomas Glass, Charles Edison Miller and George Compton; one son, Loy Williams Glass; one daughter, Barbara Jean Glass; one brother, Vic Wilson Byers; one sister, Lovena Robinson, grandson, Loy William Glass Jr.
She is survived by one daughter, Joy Miller of Murray, Kentucky; three sons, Thomas H. Glass and wife Ruth of Portage Indiana, James "Jim" W. Glass of Puryear, Tennessee, Bobby W. Miller of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; seven grandchildren and many great, and great great grandchild also survive. Also many nieces, nephews, and cousins survive.
Funeral services will be held 12: 00 Noon, Saturday, February 22, 2014 in the chapel of the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, February 21, 2014 from 5:00 – 8:00 at the J.H. Churchill funeral home.
