Marilyn McCuiston

Marilyn McCuiston, age 89, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away, Thursday, November 9, 2023, at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray, Kentucky.

She was born on October 25th, 1934, in Murray, Kentucky, to the late Johnny and Kathryn Butterworth Walker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gene S. Cathey and her grandson, Micah S. Cathey.

Marilyn was retired from Murray State University after 26 years of service and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Murray.

Marilyn is survived by one daughter, Mitzi S. Cathey of Murray, Kentucky; two sons, Monty S. Cathey and Mike S. Cathey and wife Donna of Murray, Kentucky; granddaughter, Mallory S. Looney and husband Bret; four great grandsons, Easton Looney, Grayson Looney, Colton Looney and Bryson Looney; two brothers in laws, Bob Toon and J.W. Cathey both of Murray, Kentucky; as well as three nieces and one nephew.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 12^th, 2023, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the funeral to follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. John Dale will officiate, and burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens.
