Mr. Marlon Morris, age 87, of Murray, Kentucky, died on December 1, 2019, at his home.
Mr. Morris was born on April 11, 1932, in Lynn Grove, Kentucky to the late Lancie Morris and Jessie Armstrong Morris. He was retired after 36 years with Air Products in Calvert City, Kentucky and was a Marine Corp. Veteran of the Korean War. In addition, Mr. Morris was a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one daughter, Marilyn Kay Morris; as well as one brother, Max Morris.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Miller Morris of Murray, Kentucky; they married on January 13, 1952, in Corinth, Mississippi; one daughter, Dannetta Clayton and husband Dave of Murray, Kentucky; one son, Dennis Morris of Murray, Kentucky; one brother, Kelvin Morris of Mayfield, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Jerad Morris of Mayfield, Kentucky, Casey Darnell and wife Laken of Farmington, Kentucky, Kayla Schneider and husband Anthony of Ft. Pierce, Florida, Aaron Clayton of Murray, Kentucky, and Carlee Cossey and best friend Cody of Murray, Kentucky; as well as five great-grandchildren, Lorelye Darnell of Farmington, Kentucky, Mia Schneider of Ft. Pierce, Florida, Ava Schneider of Ft. Pierce, Florida, and Skylar Cossey of Murray, Kentucky.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at the Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery. John Dale and Steven Hunter will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
