Martha Armstrong

Mrs. Martha Lane Armstrong, 90, of Murray, Kentucky died Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Mrs. Armstrong was born in Calloway County Kentucky on January 30, 1924 to the late Paul and Cora Lee (Outland) Poyner. Mrs. Armstrong was the past owner and operator of Mar-Lane Ceramics in Murray and a member of the West Fork Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Armstrong was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas "Richard" Armstrong; one sister, Mary Sue Tutt; and two brothers, Carl Poyner and W.D. Poyner.
Mrs. Armstrong is survived by one daughter, Marie Layna Castleberry and fiancée David Leach of Murray, Kentucky; two sons, Andrew Mark Armstrong of Murray, Kentucky and Alan Paul Armstrong and wife Brenda of Jackson, Mississippi; one sister, Pauline Downey of Henderson, Kentucky; one grandchild, William Richard Castleberry and wife Haley; two step grandchildren, Ashley Brown and husband Bobby and Alecia Cook and husband Jason; as well as four, great grandchildren, Chandler Castleberry, Bentleigh Castleberry, Brennan Bullock and Addisyn Bullock.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Carter and Bro. Jerry Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Monday, May 19, 2014 at the funeral home.
