Mrs. Martha Emma Crawford, age 86, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at her home.
Mrs. Crawford was born on October 26, 1937, in Fordsville, Kentucky to the late Noel Richards and Ruby (Newton) Richards and was raised in Owensboro, Kentucky. She was a retired teacher having taught business at both Murray Vocational School and Murray High School. Mrs. Crawford was a member of the Murray First United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Nix Crawford; as well as one sister, Lois Hamm.
Survivors include her daughter, Kelli Paschall and husband Terry Lynn of Murray, Kentucky; son, Craig Crawford and wife Kelly Ann of Bowling Green, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Nix Crawford and wife Natalie of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Ainsley Crawford of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Cade Crawford of Nashville, Tennessee, Katy Riley and husband Jon of Murray, Kentucky, and Hugh Paschall and wife Darby of Lexington, Kentucky; as well as four great-grandchildren, Emerson Crawford, John Nix Crawford, Nix Riley, and Hollynn Riley.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, November 5, 2023, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Jim Stahler officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Sunday, November 5, 2023, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
