Martha "Sue" Gamble

Mrs. Martha "Sue" Gamble, age 86, of Farmington, Kentucky died on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.

Mrs. Gamble was born in Calloway County, Kentucky on June 10, 1929 to the late Fred Kirkland and Mary (Arnett) Kirkland. Mrs. Gamble retired from the Calloway County School System and was a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Gamble was preceded in death by her husband Edmond Gamble, who died on October 14, 2009; one brother-in-law, Hafton Cole; and one sister-in-law, Margaret Kirkland.

Mrs. Gamble is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Ann McClure and husband Jimmy of Farmington, Kentucky and Vicki Elaine Tucker and husband Randy of Murray, Kentucky; one son, James "Bub" Gamble and wife Jo Ann of Versailles, Kentucky; two sisters, Evelyn Cole of Exton, Pennsylvania and Jean Bazzell and husband Ray of Murray, Kentucky; one brother, Jerry Kirkland of Murray, Kentucky; as well six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with John Dale officiating. Burial will follow in the Coldwater Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 from 5:00 -8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
