Martha R. Smith

Mrs. Martha R. Smith, age 87, of Murray, Kentucky, died Saturday, September 23, 2017 at her home.
Mrs. Smith was born July 17, 1930 in Murray, Kentucky to the late Jesse Redden and Farie Farris Redden.
Mrs. Smith was a retired school teacher, having taught at Lynn Grove High School, Faxon Elementary, and East Calloway Elementary. She was also a member of the Elm Grove Baptist Church, and the Golden Circle Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her husband, Edgar Smith of Murray, Kentucky, they married July 22, 1950 in Corinth, Mississippi; one son, Jimmy Smith and wife Kathy of Mayfield, Kentucky; two daughters, Bonnie Adams of Murray, Kentucky, and Donna D'Angelo and husband Craig of Murray, Kentucky; one brother, Pat Redden and wife Mary of Murray, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Jessie Crider and husband Justin of Almo, Kentucky, Nicholas D'Angelo of Murray, Kentucky, Ashley Teasley and husband Ross of Cunningham, Kentucky, David Adams of Murray, Kentucky, Amy Adams and husband Chace of Apex, North Carolina; one great grandchild, Aubrey Rose Teasley of Cunningham, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Bro. Brad Burns will officiate, and burial will follow in the Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11a.m. till 1p.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
