Marvin Bell

           Mr. Marvin Ray Bell, age 89, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital.

          Mr. Bell was born in Martin, Tennessee on July 14, 1934, to the late Cecil Bell and Lorene (Melton) Bell. Mr. Bell retired from McDaniel’s Fire Protection in Valparaiso, Indiana as a fire sprinkler fitter. He was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church in Canton, Georgia and served in the National Guard.

          In addition to his parents, Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy (Smith) Bell, who passed away on August 10, 2023; and by one daughter, Jill (Bell) Hall.

          Mr. Bell is survived by his son, Keith Bell and wife Jill (Falwell) Bell of Benton, Kentucky; a son-in-law, Tom Hall of Canton, Georgia; a grandson, Michael Bell and wife Emily of Sandy, Utah; as well as three great grandchildren, Callie Bell, Palmer Bell and Eli Bell.

          A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Kerry Lambert officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Friday, January 12, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services. The burial will follow at a later date in the Collier Cemetery in Martin, Tennessee.
