Marvin K. Ross

Mr. Marvin K. Ross, age 81, of Dexter, Kentucky died on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray, Kentucky.

He was retired from BASF Chemical in Detroit, Michigan. He was a member of the Elm Grove Baptist Church.

Mr. Ross was born in Smithland, Kentucky on May 5, 1935 to the late Miller Ross and Alene Bearden Tom. In addition to his parents he is also preceded death by one son, Kenneth Wayne Ross; two sisters, Bobbie Hill and Pauline Mickie Chappela; one brother, Harold Buddy Ross.

He is survived by his wife Bessie L. Brantley Ross of Dexter, Kentucky; they were married May 3, 1953 in Corinth, Mississippi. Also, survived by two daughters, Brenda Ann Ross of Gregory, Michigan and Anita Ross of Murray Kentucky; two sisters, Joyce Alexandrou of Warren, Michigan and Judy Ross of Paducah, Kentucky; one grandchild, Rachel Nowak of Murray, Kentucky; one great grandchild, Robert Edward Nowak III.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2016 in the chapel of the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Bro. Brad Burns will officiate with burial to follow in the Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill funeral home on Friday, December 16, 2016.
