Marvin Lee Williams

Mr. Marvin Lee Williams, age 83, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023, at his son's home.

Mr. Williams was born in Beardstown, Illinois on December 5, 1939, to the late George Williams and Florence Elizabeth (Staley) Williams. He retired after 31 years of working for General Tire and later retired after 17 years as a bus driver for the Murray Independent School District. Mr. Williams was a United States Army Veteran and was a member of the Calvary Temple Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister.

Survivors include one son, Marty Williams of Murray, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Shanna Lynn, Joseph Ryan Williams, Lorelei Williams, McKaylenn Hargis, and Jayden Hargis; as well as four great grandchildren, Kora Stockwell, Kyelan Howland, Valerie Lynn, and Jensen Lynn.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Bro. Darrel Young officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 27, 2023, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
