Mary Hannah "Mickey" Cadigan, died Sunday, June 10, 2012 at the Murray Calloway Co. Hospital in Murray, Kentucky.
Mrs. Cadigan was born April 23, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Byron Joseph Murphy and Margaret Rose Murphy.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Cadigan was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Cadigan; two sisters and two brothers.
Mrs. Cadigan had been a resident of Naperville, Illinois from 1962 until 2007 when she moved to Murray, Kentucky. She was an Army wife for over 20 years traveling with her husband, Bill Cadigan, to many assignments in the USA, Germany and Japan. Mrs. Cadigan was an avid volunteer and friend to many for many years. In 2006 she was awarded the honor of American Legion Citizen of the Year. She was a member of St. Peter and Paul's Church.
Surviving are her five daughters, Cecilia "C.C." Albright of Dickson, TN, Peggy Cadigan (Wes Weinhold) of Fredonia, WI, Kathleen Bruce (Richard) of Germantown, IL, Debby Cadigan (Neil Levin) of St. Charles, IL and Danice Hart (Geary) of Kirksey, KY; also surviving are ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are still to be determined.
