Mary Eva Hopson

Mrs. Mary Eva (Rogers) Hopson, age 95, of Murray, Kentucky, died on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, Kentucky.

Mrs. Hopson was born in Graves County, Kentucky on January 8, 1924 to the late Jones Thomas Rogers and Odena (Sawyer) Rogers. Mrs. Hopson retired as a bank teller from Peoples Bank in Murray and she was a member of the Mayfield First Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hopson was preceded in death by her husband, Gil G. Hopson; three sisters, Frances Lawson, Billie Sue Hicks and Kathleen Casey; two brothers, Ellis Rogers and Joe Wayne Rogers.
Mrs. Hopson is survived by one sister, Lois Ann Owens of Clarksville, Indiana; one brother, Harold Rogers and wife Katie of Mayfield, Kentucky; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A private family burial will be held.
