Mary Sue McKinney

Mrs. Mary Sue McKinney, age 81, of Murray, Kentucky died on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Spring Creek Health Care in Murray, Kentucky.

Mrs. McKinney was born on January 16, 1936 in Calloway County to the late Rufus M. Garner and Martha Helen Merrill Garner. She was a retired newspaper delivery person for the Murray Ledger and Times and a member of the First Assembly of God in Murray.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, W.D. McKinney, to whom she was married in Corinth, Mississippi on June 13, 1953; five brothers, Odell Garner, Sims Garner, Henry Garner, Ernest Garner, and Leonard Garner.

Survivors include three daughters, Dorothy Alexander Murray, Kentucky; Trisha Walker of Charlottesville, Virginia, and Laurie Eckhard and husband Tim of Ormond Beach, Florida; one son, Ricky McKinney and wife Angie of Almo, Kentucky; three sisters, Nancy Brandon and husband Joe of Almo, Kentucky, Vickie Reed and husband Gerry of Hazel, Kentucky, and Fronie Eldridge and husband William D. of Murray, Kentucky; two brothers, Chester Garner and wife Ruby Kay of Murray, Kentucky, and Morgan Garner and wife Brenda of Benton, Kentucky; nine grandchildren, Missy Evans, Kim Hill, Bryne McDougal, Jody Tucker, Trisha Bailey, Amy Mott, Matthew Mott, Kyle McKinney, and Casey McKinney; twenty great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

Graveside Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at the Murray City Cemetery with Rev. Kerry Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery.
