Mrs. Mary R. Miller, 90, of Farmington, Ky., died Monday, January 10, 2011 at 6:30 a.m. at Spring Creek Health Care in Murray, Ky.
She was a homemaker, and was of the Church of Christ faith. She was born Oct. 12, 1920 in Muhlenberg Co., Ky.
She is survived by her husband, Parvin Miller of Murray, Ky., daughter, Mary Vincent (Jesse) of Murray, Ky., one son, David Hughes (Bernice) of Paducah, Ky., brother, Marvin Sumner of Russellville, Ky., three grandchildren, Bill Vincent (Maria) of Murray, Ky., Freddy Vincent (Cindy) of Midlothian, Va., David Hughes (Tabitha) of Kevil, Ky.. Three great grandchildren Jared Vincent (Krista), Jennifer Vincent of Murray, Ky., and Mitchell Vincent of Midlothian, Va. One step-daughter Darlene Hale (Eddie Clyde) of Murray, Ky., one step-son Larry Miller (Norma) of Farmington, Ky., eight step-grandchildren, thirteen step-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jasper Hughes, parents, Jess and Oma Gaston Sumner, three sisters, Loretta Hunt, Luthell Penrod, and Nettie Mae Sumner, four brothers, Carson, Carl, Dan, and Earl Sumner.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Robert Meredith, and Hayes Grady will officiate, and burial will be in the Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011 from 4-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
