Mary Elizabeth Outland

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Outland age 88, of Salem, Oregon, formerly of Murray, Kentucky, died peacefully in her home on April 26, 2014.
Mrs. Outland was born May 30, 1925 in Stewart County, Tennessee, to the late Samuel and Rosa Milton Hettinghouse. She lived the majority of her adult life in Monroe County, Michigan, where she and her husband farmed for fifty years, and were active members of their community. She was a devoted Christian, loving wife and mother. She was an inspiration to many and she will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Outland.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Outland and wife Kathy of Salem, Oregon, and Ronald Outland, wife Nancy of San Antonio, Texas, also three grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, May16, 2014 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Chadd Allen will officiate, and burial will follow at the Outland Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, May 16, 2014 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
