Mary Kathryn Watson

Mrs. Mary Kathryn Watson, age 97, of Murray, Kentucky, died on Monday, October 29, 2018, at her home.

Mrs. Watson was born on June 15, 1921, in Bolivar, New York to the late Arthur Barnes and Kathryn Snowden Barnes. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Murray.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, W. Edward Watson; one grandchild, Todd Watson; and one brother, Jack Barnes.

Survivors include one daughter, Molly Young of Murray, Kentucky; three sons, A. Frank Watson and wife Linda of Moore, South Carolina, John Watson and wife Wailee of Meherrin, Virginia, and W. Larry Watson and wife Pat of Lake Tomahawk, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Stephanie (Donnelly) McDonald and husband Eric, Kaitlin Watson, Tina Watson, Ben Watson, Christine Perenyi, Lauren Youngblood and husband Michael, Lisa Moore and husband Mark, Chris Watson and wife Amy, and Scott Watson and wife Claudia; seven great grandchildren; and special friends Phil and Sarah Bryan of Murray, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 1, 2018, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Dr. Rick Dye will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
