Mrs. Maude Evelyn Hale, 91, of Murray, KY died Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Murray - Calloway County Hospital.
Mrs. Hale was born in Calloway County, Kentucky on October 15, 1921 to the late Daniel Huie Williams and Beulah Mae Burkeen Williams. Mrs. Hale retired from the Calloway County School System after working in the Food Services Department. She was a member of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hale was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Franklin Hale, who died in February 1994; and by six brothers, Coy, Jentry, Vernie, Victor, Oran and Orby Williams.
Mrs. Hale is survived by one daughter, Wilma Edmonds and husband Richard of Murray; one sister, Alma Lee Adams of Dexter, Kentucky; one sister in law, Inez Harmon of Murray; two grandchildren, Tammy McCallon and husband Mike of Murray and Angie Wyatt and husband Greg of Almo, Kentucky; one step grandchild, Amy Beevers of Jackson, Tennessee; five great grandchildren, Allie McClain and husband Dustin of Mayfield, Kentucky, Courtney Thompson of Murray, Caleb Wyatt, Nate Wyatt and Micah Wyatt all of Almo; four step great grandchildren, Chelsea McCallon of Murray, Tiffany, Michelle and Nicholaus Beevers all of Jackson, Tennessee; as well as several nieces and nephews survive.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Bro. William B. Miller and Bro. Dustin McClain officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m., Monday, January 14, 2013 at the funeral home.
