Mr. Max Keel age 86, of Murray, Kentucky, died Monday, June 29, 2015 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Mr. Keel was born January 29, 1929 in Calloway County, Kentucky, to the late Ira and Ethel Cook Keel. He was the owner and operator of Keel's Vacuum, and a member of the Story's Chapel Methodist Church, and a member of the Cuba Masonic Lodge no. 644 F&AM, for over 60 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Larry and Jim Keel, two sisters, Bronzie Easley, and Sue Britt Jacob, four brothers, Carl, Fred, Bill, and Kenneth Keel, daughter in law, Susan Keel.
Survivors include, his wife, Marie Spann Keel of Murray, Kentucky, they married July 10, 1976 in Murray, Kentucky, daughter, Jeannie Moon and husband Mark of Fulton, Kentucky, four grandchildren, Brent Moon and wife Shannon of Pearland, Texas, Clint Moon and wife Courtney of Fulton, Kentucky, Nick Moon of South Fulton, Tennessee, and Matthew Keel and wife Abby of Nashville, Tennessee, two great grandchildren, Markus Moon of Fulton, Kentucky, and Madeline Keel of Nashville, Tennessee.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Rev. Presley Lamb will officiate, and burial will follow in the Story's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Masonic Rites will be held 6:00 p.m., Wednesday at funeral home.
