Mr. Max Wallis Parker, age 81, of Murray, Ky, passed away at his home November 19th, 2024. Mr. Parker was born January 13th, 1943 in Murray, Ky, to the late Thomas Parker and Elise Wallis Parker. 

 

Max was born and raised in Calloway County. He went to Murray State University and afterward, he and his wife, Gail (along with their son, Conrad), moved to Louisville, Ky. There, he taught distributive education at Louisville male high school while attending evening classes at University of Louisville Law school and graduated in 1973. After obtaining his Juris Doctorate, he and his family moved back to his hometown of Murray.

 

In Murray, Max served as Calloway County Attorney for two terms in the 70s and 80s. He was appointed Calloway district judge to finish out the term of judge Buckingham. He served as Domestic Relations Commissioner for Calloway and Marshall Counties. He served as Calloway County Master Commissioner until December 2015 when he retired. 

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife, Gail Parker, sister, Jan Parker, and grandson, Jonny Staton. 

 

Survivors include one sister, Kay Threlkeld of Roswell, New Mexico. Son, Conrad Parker (wife Melissa) of Murray, Ky, son, Zacary Parker of Murray, Ky, and daughter, Whitney Gail Parker of Murray, Ky. Grandchildren include Sarah Parker, Abigail Parker, Ella Parker, Rainy Bailey, and Connor Salinas. Great-grandchildren include Archer Bailey and Charlie Gail Bailey. 

 

There will be no public service or visitation per Mr. Parker’s request.
