Mr. Michael Morris 62, of Kirksey, Ky., died Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tn.
Born Feb. 16, 1949 in Cairo, IL. To the late Albin and Juanita Campbell Haynes Morris. He was a graduate of Murray State University, was of the Baptist faith, and worked as a Human Resources Manager for CAKY of Benton, Ky. Mr. Morris was also named a Kentucky Colonel.
He is survived by a daughter, Heather McPherson and husband Boyd of Sedalia, Ky., two sons, Matthew Sheldon of Kirksey, Ky., and Heith Morris of Murray, Ky. Also three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Lonnie Gay, and David Morris.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 30, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Bro Greg Widmer will officiate, and burial will follow in the Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 29, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
