Mrs. Mildred Mardis, age 82, of Dexter, Kentucky died at her home on Friday, November 07, 2014.
Mrs. Mardis was born July 27, 1932 in Puryear, Tennessee, to the late Fred and Irean Hudson Dick. In addition to her parents, she has preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Mardis, brothers, Elvis, Troy, and Bobby Dick, grandson, Wesley Chance, and great grandchild, Samuel Mardis.
She was a homemaker, member of the Palestine United Methodist Church, and the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a daughter, Tressia Rogers of Benton, Kentucky, four sons, Gary Mardis and wife Angsana of Aurora, Kentucky, Dwayne Mardis of Aurora, Terry "Douger" Mardis of Aurora, and Jerry "Dink" Mardis and wife Jeanie of Dyersburg, Tennessee, also fourteen grandchildren, and twenty-one great grandchildren survive.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, November, 10, 2014 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Rev. Robert McKinney, and Bro. Elijah Balentine will officiate, and burial will follow in the Palestine United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visiation will be held Sunday, November, 9, 2014, from 5-8 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral.
