Mr. Gary Lee Johnson

Mr. Gary Lee Johnson, age 72, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray, Kentucky.

Mr. Johnson was born on July 1, 1953, in Salisbury, North Carolina, to the late Clyde Johnson and Pauline Trecartin Johnson. Gary was a Navy veteran serving in the Vietnam War and retired from the Kentucky State Police after 20 years of service. He was of the Catholic Faith.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Buchanan Johnson of Murray, Kentucky, they were married on August 17, 1973 in Murray, Kentucky; son, Matthew Johnson and wife Lauren of Lexington, Kentucky; sister, Trish Tomlin of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; brother, Michael Johnson and wife Ilyse of Midlothian, Virginia; four grandchildren, Gabriel Johnson, Isla Johnson, Emery Johnson and Cooper Johnson all of Lexington, Kentucky.
