Mr. Randy Barnett

            Mr. Randy Edwin Barnett, age 67, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away, Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at the Spring Creek Healthcare in Murray, Kentucky. 

          Mr. Barnett was born on June 4, 1957, in Murray, Kentucky to the late Oliver Barnett and Jean (Elkins) Barnett. He retired from the Murray State University Environmental Services Department and later worked for Sam Underwood Construction. Mr. Barnett the past Chief for the Calloway County Fire-Rescue and attended the First Baptist Church in Murray, Kentucky. 

          Survivors include two daughters, Mary Barnett of Manchester, New Hampshire and Georgia Marshall of Murray, Kentucky; one brother, Ron Barnett and wife Darlene of Murray, Kentucky; one grandson, Myles Barnett of Murray, Kentucky; one niece, Lindsey Crane and husband Tripp of Murray, Kentucky; as well as two great nieces, Maylene and Opal Crane and one great nephew, Collier Crane all of Murray, Kentucky. 

          A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 14, 2024, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Kerry Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnett Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 14, 2024, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
