Mrs. Brittany Janee Overby

Mrs. Brittany Janee Overby, age 42, of Murray, Kentucky passed away on Friday, September 4, 2026, at the Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Mrs. Overby was born on October 20, 1983, in Murray, Kentucky. She worked for Forever Communications as a DJ and Salesperson. She was affectionately known as, “Emmy Green”, all across “Froggy Land”. Mrs. Overby was a graduate from Murray State University and was of the Baptist Faith.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Robert and Reda Overby; as well as her maternal grandparents, Orvin and Mary Hutson.

Survivors include her daughter, Cammie Arnett of Murray, Kentucky; one son, Cole Arnett of Murray, Kentucky; grandson, Beau Heiston of Murray, Kentucky; mother, Tammy (Hutson) Petty of Murray, Kentucky; father, Darrell Overby and wife Marla of Murray, Kentucky; as well as her brother, Ben Overby of Paducah, Kentucky.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 10, 2026, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Bro. Sammy Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
