Mrs. Dortha Wilson Rickman

Mrs. Dortha Wilson Rickman, age 91, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at her home.

Dortha was born on April 19, 1935, in Murray, Kentucky to the late Harvey Bushart and Ludie Brown (Outland) Bushart. She worked as a receptionist with the Houston McDevitt Clinic and later worked and retired as an office aid for the Murray Independent School District where she was affectionately known as Dot-Dot for decades to the students. Dot was a 1953 graduate of Murray High School and was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Hugh Eddie Wilson; second husband, Jimmy Rickman; one brother, Charles Eugene Bushart; as well as one son-in-law, Richard Valentine.

Survivors include one daughter, Rebecca (Wilson) Valentine of Murray, Kentucky; one son, Michael Eddie Wilson and wife Tina of Murray, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Hugh Anders Valentine of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Laura Elizabeth Dennison and husband Bryan of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Kathryn Mechelle Wilson of Austin, Texas; two great-grandchildren, William Michael Dennison of Raleigh, North Carolina and Meyer Elizabeth Dennison of Raleigh, North Carolina; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A private family graveside will be held at a later date.
