Mrs. Mae Downs

          Mrs. Mae Downs, age 80, of the Coldwater Community in Calloway County, Kentucky, passed away, Friday, May 31, 2024, at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray, Kentucky.

            Mrs. Downs was born in Calloway County, Kentucky on March 10, 1944, to the late Noel Robertson and Lettie (Adams) Robertson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Coldwater Church of Christ.

            In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Gene Robertson.

            Survivors include her husband, Johnny Downs of the Coldwater Community, Kentucky; one daughter, Tammy Scott of Murray, Kentucky; one son, Terry Downs and wife Carole of Murray, Kentucky; two sisters, Linda Fay Jones and Kay Robertson both of Murray, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Jennifer Dusenbury and husband Matt of Missouri, David Dodd and wife Cara of Farmington, Kentucky, and Dylan Scott of Murray, Kentucky; two great-grandchildren, Preston and Paxton Dusenbury; as well as one soon to be great-grandchild, Lacey Mae Dodd.

            A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Luke Puckett officiating. Burial will follow in the Coldwater Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
