Mrs. Mary Alice King, age 73, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 29, 2026.
Mrs. King was born on May 21, 1953, in Pikeville, Kentucky to the late Noah Branham and Dorothy (Ray) Branham. She retired as a supervisor in food service after 25 years with Murray State University. Mrs. King was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Noah Rogers; grandson, Logan Rogers; five sisters, Mary Ethel, Janie, Nina, Beatrice, and Ellie; as well as six brothers, Ransom Paul, Jerry, Benny, Lawrence, Matt, and Cleve.
Survivors include her husband, George King of Murray, Kentucky; one daughter, Ginny Singleton and husband David of Murray, Kentucky; two sons, Howard Rogers, III, of Buchanan, Tennessee, and Eric King and wife Casey of Jackson, Missouri; three sisters, Vivian Hall of Pikeville, Kentucky, Georgia Little and husband GC of Pikeville, Kentucky, and Kathy “Kat” Lynn Cochran and husband Freddie of Pikeville, Kentucky; nine grandchildren, Chase Rogers, Levi Rogers, Emily Milby and husband Hunter, Carter King, Cohen King, Kipton King, Emme Vonne King, Kyle Singleton, and Cassidy Singleton; as well as one great grandchild, Waylon Milby.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 4, 2026, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Bro. Kerry Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 3, 2026, at the J.H. Churchill funeral Home & Cremation Services.
