Mrs. Sandra Jewel Mason

           Mrs. Sandra Jewel Mason, age 82, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away, Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at her home.

            Mrs. Mason was born on November 2, 1941, in Spartanburg, South Carolina to the late Roy K. Mason and Emily (Bryant) Gresham. She retired as an office manager for Wesley at Murray and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Murray, Kentucky.

            In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, W. Clifton Malpass; as well as one daughter, Lisa Diane Malpass.

            Survivors include one daughter, Laurie (Malpass) Edminster and husband Warren of Murray, Kentucky; two sisters, Frankie Patterson and husband Pat of Spartanburg, South Carolina and Retta Smith and husband Dale of Lyman, South Carolina; one brother, R. Ken Mason and wife Debby of Boiling Springs, South Carolina; three grandchildren, Ashlee (Edminster) Rosa and husband Robert of Louisville, Kentucky, Lauren Edminster, and Hannah Edminster both of Murray, Kentucky; as well as three great-grandchildren, Ellis Irene Rosa, Ruth Ann Rosa, and Josiah Clifton Rosa all of Louisville, Kentucky.

            A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 30, 2024, in the chapel of the First Baptist Church in Murray, Kentucky with Bro. Robert Rosa officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 30, 2024, in the chapel of the First Baptist Church in Murray, Kentucky. Additional services will be held in Spartanburg, South Carolina at a later date.
