Ms. Kimberly Kay Ray

Ms. Kimberly Kay Ray, age 63, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024, at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray.

Ms. Ray was born on August 21, 1960, in Murray, Kentucky. She was a LPN for Westview Nursing Home, Spring Creek Healthcare, and Murray-Calloway County Hospital for 39 years before she retired. She was a loving mother and granny, and she will be missed by all of us. 

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Fred and Virginia Pogue; as well as her paternal grandparents, Hubert and Rhupayne Hooper.

Survivors include three daughters, Meghan Lewis and husband Jason of Hiram, Georgia, Whitney Villanueva and husband Greg of Murray, Kentucky, and Brittney Ray and husband Bobby of Powder Springs, Georgia; one son, CJ Ray and wife Stacie of Murray, Kentucky; parents, James and Judy Kay (Pogue) Hooper of Murray, Kentucky; one brother, Darren Hooper and wife Donna of Paducah, Kentucky; as well as nine grandchildren, Arianna Wilson, Mekhi Ray, Kayghan Villanueva, Kalleigh Villanueva, Emerson Ray, Zoey Lewis, Brody Villanueva, Layla Villanueva, and Danii Lewis. 

A funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, June 20, 2024, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Bro. Kerry Lambert and Jamie Phillips officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., Thursday, June 20, 2024, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
