Ms. Maria Judy

Ms. Maria Judy passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024, at the Anna Mae Owen Hospice House surrounded by family.

She was born on October 22, 1952, in New York City to the late Spiros and Stella Theodosiou, but grew up in Orange County, California. She was a graduate of Westminster High School where she was a cheerleader and prom queen. She was also a graduate of Orange Coast College and retired from the Sales Department of Fiserv, Inc. She never met a stranger and loved a great conversation. She loved sharing her Greek heritage, traditions, and food with everyone and passed those traditions onto her children and grandchildren. She loved to have dance parties in her living room with her granddaughters and daughters, and she loved to watch documentaries about history with her grandson. Maria’s family and friends and her dog, Bella, were her hobby. She truly was a shining light in all the lives she touched. 

Ms. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Spiros and Stella Theodosiou.

She is survived by her daughters, Stephanie Perlow (David), Murray, KY and Kristen Buckles, Elizabethtown, KY; brother, John Theodosiou, Elizabethtown, KY; three grandchildren, that she loved and adored, Theodore Perlow, Murray, KY, Penelope Perlow, Murray, KY, Audrey Buckles, Elizabethtown, KY, and her former spouse/lifelong friend, Walter Judy, Elizabethtown, KY.

A celebration of life party was held in August of this year where Maria got to enjoy loved ones and friends who traveled from around the country. It was a special event that allowed her to enjoy friends and family while she was still in good health. It was her wish that no visitation or funeral services be held.
