Muriel H. Tinsley

Mr. Muriel H. Tinsley, Jr., age 73, of Murray, Kentucky died Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.

Mr. Tinsley was born October 26, 1941, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Muriel H. Tinsley and Mildred H. Carpenter Tinsley. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one brother Marion Tinsley.

Mr. Tinsley was a retired District Manager and Sales Representative for Bohler-Thyssen. He was also an Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War, and member of the Alford Masonic Lodge F. & A.M. 925 and Temple Hill Masonic Lodge F. & A.M. 276.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine M. Thompson Tinsley of Murray, Kentucky, they married September 8, 1962 in New Market England, two daughters, Vicki Ramage and husband Chuck of Palmer, Alaska, Deborah Smith and husband Stan of Paragould, Arkansas, one son Matthew "Spud" Tinsley and wife Sandy of Murray, Kentucky, two brothers, Jack Tinsley and wife Cora of Naperville, Illinois and Mike Tinsley and wife SunI, of Louisville, Texas, four grandchildren Daniel Ramage of Hot Springs Arkansas, Nathan Ramage, Wasilla, Alaska, Kristen Manos of Sulphur Rock, Arkansas, and Hanna Tinsley of Murray, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 14, 2015 at the J.H. Churchill funeral Home. Rev. Robert McKinney will officiate and burial will follow in the Palestine United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, September 13, 2015 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Masonic rites will be at 7p.m. at the Funeral home.
