Mrs. Myra Nanny of Marshall, Tx., formerly of Murray, Ky., died Friday, April 12, 2013.
Myra was born on April 8, 1922 in Paris, Tn. She was the daughter of John Wesley and Ethel Mae Sturdivant.
Mrs. Nanny was married on Nov. 6, 1947 in the home of her parents in Paris, TN to Lester Glenn Nanny, Sr. Mr. Nanny was a World War II veteran. He was Calloway County Court Clerk, and later retired as Postmaster in Murray. Myra was a homemaker and also worked at the Bookstore at Murray State.
Mrs. Nanney was a member of the University Church of Christ in Murray. While living in Marshal, TX she attended Eastern Hills Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Glenn Nanny, Sr. in 2002, and their son Lester Glenn Nanny Jr. in 1989.
Survivors include her son Stephen G. Nanny, Sr. and wife Linda of Marshall, TX. One Sister Virginia Hendrix and husband Vernon of Paris, TN.
Four grandchildren, Laurie "Nanny" Ragugini and husband David of Marshall, TX. Stephen G. Nanny, Jr. of Bossier City, LA. Lynn Ellen Nanny of San Antonio, TX. Leslie "Nanny" Garton and husband James of Sydney, Australia.
Great-granddaughter, Gemma Grace Garton of Sydney, Australia, three great-grandsons, Dawson Blake, Ryan Jacob, and Mason Andrew Ragugini of Marshall, TX.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with John Dale and Charlie Bazzell officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 19, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
