Mrs. Myrtle Duncan, age 88, of Murray, KY died Monday, April 14, 2014 at the Spring Creek Health Care in Murray, KY.
Mrs. Duncan was born in Calloway County, Kentucky on September 16, 1925 to the late John Wesley Miller and Lavada (Garland) Miller. Mrs. Duncan retired from Murray State University while working in the Housekeeping Department. She was a member of the Sugar Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Duncan was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Duncan; two sisters, Mabel Donelson and Minnie Miller; three brothers, Pat Miller, Sam Miller and Jack Miller.
Mrs. Duncan is survived by four daughters, Judy Hale, Freda McBee and husband Gary, K. Lyvette Price and fiancé Kevin Wheatley all of Murray, and Pam Duncan and husband Ralph of Almo, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Ginny Tabers husband Wesley Tabers, Sr. of Kirksey, Kentucky, Lisa McGee and husband Robert of Murray, Kentucky, Russell Duncan and wife Kimberly of Almo, Kentucky and Corey McBee of Atlanta, Georgia; seven great grandchildren; as well as a sister-in-law, Dorothy Miller of Murray, Kentucky.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Center Ridge Cemetery with Brother Bill Miller officiating and burial to follow. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2014 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
