Kevil Nadine Hopkins Copus
Mrs. Copus, age 102, born on April 5, 1915 to Howlett and Virdie Vi Tula (McCuiston) Hopkins in Murray, KY passed away at Spring Creek Health Care in Murray, KY on Saturday, May 6, 2017. Mrs. Copus worked 28 years at the Murray Hosiery Mill and later retired in 1987 from Gene & Jo's Florist in Murray. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Copus was preceded in death by three husbands, Ruble Lockhart, Robert H. Downey and Harvey E. Copus; and a sister, Eulala Hopkins Bray.
She is survived by her daughter, Bronda S. Lockhart Parker and husband Gerald of Murray; two grandchildren, Thomas R. Parker and wife Lori of Powder Springs, Georgia, Sharon L. Parker Boulton and husband Jon of Paducah, KY,; five great-grandchildren, Jason Goodyke and wife Detreous of Paducah, KY, Ryan T. Parker and wife Jennifer of Kennesaw, GA, Patricia L. Parker Horsley and husband Danny of Powder Springs, GA, Brandon R. Parker and wife Ocoee of Sandy Springs, GA, Mallory K. Parker Strickland and husband Todd of Dallas, GA; as well as thirteen great-great grandchildren, Azlyn Michelle and Preston Jay Goodyke, Makayla Noel, Savannah Grace, Peyton Catharine, Holton James Thomas, and Saylor Faith Parker, Adam Lee, Anna Elise and Emma Rose Horsley, Price Kingsley, Tripp Thomas, and Lacey Kate Strickland.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the graveside service on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
