Nancy Marie Overbey

Mrs. Nancy Marie Overbey age 72 of Murray, KY, died Sunday, November 11, 2012 at the Murray Calloway Co. Hospital.

Mrs. Overbey was born in Calloway County, KY on August 9, 1940 to the late Dennis Boyd and Maggie Ellis Boyd. Mrs. Overbey retired after 31 years of service in the food service department at the Murray Calloway County Hospital. She was a member of the South Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, a member of the Hazel Woman's Club and a member of the U.M.W. (United Methodist Women).

In addition to her parents Mrs. Overbey was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Overbey, who died on May 31, 2001; and by one brother, Hazle Lee Boyd.

Mrs. Overbey is survived by one daughter, Hope Futrell and husband William of Murray; one grandson, Justin Futrell of Murray; one great grandchild, Hailey Futrell of Murray; sister in law, Wanda Boyd of Murray; one niece, Jeanice Hamilton of Murray; three nephews, Terry Boyd of Murray, Darryl Boyd of GA and Larry Boyd of FL.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at South Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Eugene Nichols officiating. Burial to follow in the South Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Visitation will also be held on Thursday morning, November 15, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until funeral hour at the South Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
