Nancy J. Rogers

Mrs. Nancy J. Holmes Rogers, 70, of Hazel, KY died Monday, August 29, 2011 at the Murray-Calloway Co. Hospital.
Mrs. Rogers was a retired hairdresser after 30 years of service, and was currently a sales associate for Wal-Mart of Murray, Ky. She was a 1960 graduate of Hazel High school, and was a member of the Hazel Baptist Church. Born Dec. 6, 1940, in Murray, Ky.
She is survived by two sons, Danny Rogers of Jackson, Tn., and Don Rogers (Rhonda) of Murray, Ky., two grandchildren, Kyle and Allison Rogers both of Murray, Ky., cousins, Twilla Williams (Chuck), and Hannah Williams, all of Murray, Ky.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy D. "Peanut" Rogers, parents, Zack and Buthel Armstrong Holmes, also one brother, Bobby Holmes.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Rev. Tim Cole will officiate, and burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2011 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
